Many products contain different types of installs which offer various optional components that can be chosen by the user. The Select Packages screen is one type of screen available in Setup Factory that was designed to work with this type of design. This screen allows you to display a Windows tree structure of available packages that are grouped into categories. A package contains a group of files, while a category contains a group of packages and/or other categories. Selections of packages or categories are represented by check boxes.
Other available features on this screen include the automatic calculation of required and available disk space for the install based on the package selection, as well as description text for both packages and categories.
The Select Packages screen is available in the Screen Gallery, which can be accessed by choosing Project > Screens... from the program menu and clicking the Add button from the Before Installing or After Installing tabs, or from the Before Uninstalling or After Uninstalling in the uninstall section.
