Key file

Whether or not the selected files are key files. Key files are files unique to each version that are used to identify what version of the application is on the user's system.

Destination

Install to:

The edit state of the directory that you want the selected files to be patched to on the user’s system. You can use any path-related session variable by itself or in combination with a hard-coded path that you specify.

You can click the edit button ( sf7_edit_2_notext_small ) to open the Edit Multiple Values dialog where you can change the patch folder for all selected files.

Note: Visual Patch will insert the correct directory here by default when you add the files to the project. Generally, you will not need to change the Install to setting.

Force install:

Whether or not to force Visual Patch to install the selected files. This means that if a file with the same name exists in the destinations, they will be overwritten. If the files do not exist, they will be installed.

Note: Checking this option means that the full copy of these files will be included in the patch.
