Root:

The registry key root.

Note: The HKEY_USER_SELECTABLE option means that if this is a per-user installation, the registry value is written under HKEY_CURRENT_USER. If this is a per-machine installation, the registry value is written under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. A per-machine installation is specified by setting the ALLUSERS property to 1.

Key:

The name of the key to remove. For example, "Software\My Company\My Product". You can use properties in your key name. For example, "Software\[Manufacturer]\[ProductName]". To see a list of properties that can be inserted, right click on the field and choose Insert > Property from the context menu.

Action

The action to take. Choose from:

Remove on install

Remove this key during installation only.

Remove on uninstall

Remove this key on uninstall only.
