MSI Factory
The edit state of the filename value for the selected files. You can click the edit button to open the Edit Multiple Values dialog where you can change the file name value for all selected files.
Note: The Details button is disabled when multiple files are selected.
The edit state of the location of the selected files on your development system. You can click the edit button to open the Edit Multiple Values dialog where you can change the local folder value for all selected files, or click the Browse button to select a different folder.
The media source for the selected files. You can choose from any of the Media elements defined in the Media dialog (Project > Media). Usually this is just left at "1" which, by default, is a cab file embedded inside of the MSI database. Changing this value sets it for all selected files.
The edit state of the directory you want the selected files to be installed to on the user's system. You can press the Browse button to open the Folders dialog to select a new folder.
Note: MSI Factory will insert the correct directory here by default when you add the files to the project. Generally, you will not need to change this setting.
This section allows you to specify the attributes of the selected files when they're installed on the user's system. By default, the Use original option will be selected. This will ensure that the files' attributes will be the same on the user's system as on yours.
Note: Changing the file attributes in this section does not affect the files on your development system. The attributes are only applied to the files when they're installed.
Preserve the attributes of the selected source files when they're installed. If unchecked, you must specify the attributes for the selected files. This setting for each file is based on the state of this tri-state check box.
Set the read-only file attribute for the selected files when installed. This setting for each file is based on the state of this tri-state check box.
Set the hidden file attribute for the selected files when installed. This setting for each file is based on the state of this tri-state check box.
Set the system file attribute for the selected files when installed. This setting for each file is based on the state of this tri-state check box.
If checked, the installation cannot proceed unless the selected files are successfully installed. The user will have no option to ignore an error installing these files. If an error occurs, they can merely retry to install current file or abort the installation. This setting for each file is based on the state of this tri-state check box.
