MSI Factory
The file extension to create the association with. For example, "doc" or "ext". Do not include a period.
Select the ProgID (if any) that goes with the file association. Choose the "Add New..." option to create a new ProgID entry for the file.
If checked, the file association will be advertised. This means that the feature that contains the file association will be installed on demand when the file association is used on the user's system. In this case the entries for this file association will be made in the installer database's Extension table. If unchecked, the file association will be registered using Registry entries. In this case the installer database's Registry table will be used. In general, it is recommended that you do not advertise file associations unless you have specific reason to do so.
The Content Type that is to be associated with the extension. This is optional.
If checked, you can click the Edit button to open the MIME Content Types dialog and define new MIME content types for the file extension.
A list of shell verbs that should be created for the extension. Click the Add button to open the Verb Properties dialog and create new verbs for the extension. Normally you should at least add support for the "open" verb.
