This dialog allows you to create COM class entries for the current file. During installation, the appropriate Registry keys will be created for your COM classes. COM class entries can be created for both DLL/OCX (in process) and Automation (out of process) COM servers.

Although you can automatically register DLL/OCX controls using the Self register option on the Registration tab of the File Properties dialog, creating COM class entries is the preferred and recommended way to register COM classes in Windows Installer.

Click the Add button to open the COM Class Properties dialog and configure a new COM class.
