Progress Bars Screen

The Progress Bars screen's properties dialog contains the following four tabs of properties you can set:

Text:

The description text you want to display in the body of the screen.

Progress Bar One

Show progress prompt one

Show a prompt above the first progress meter's status text.

Prompt:

The text you want to use as a prompt for the first progress meter.

Note: Using the ampersand character (&) in the prompt's text will make the character to its right a mnemonic key for the control.

Show status text one

Show the status text for the first progress meter.

Status text:

The status text you want to display for the first progress meter. This text will appear directly above the first progress meter.

Note: Using the ampersand character (&) in the status text will make the character to its right a mnemonic key for the control.

Show progress bar one

Show the first progress meter.

Note: If the screen's theme does not use custom colors, the progress bar has XP style turned on, and the operating system is Windows XP or newer (it uses themes) then TrueUpdate will use the current Windows theme when drawing the progress bar. This means that the progress bar will ignore the Segmented or Smooth settings below and will be smooth or segmented depending on the available Windows Theme.

Progress text:

The text you want to appear inside the first progress meter.

Segmented

Use segmented bars to represent progress.

Smooth

Use a solid bar to represent progress.

XP style

Use an XP-style progress meter.

Progress Bar Two

Show progress prompt two

Show the status text for the second progress meter.

Language

Language:

The supported language you want to translate the screen text for. You can click the select button ( ) to select a different language currently supported in your update.

Note: You can add additional language support from the Languages dialog which can be accessed by going to Project > Languages...

 

Tip: You can see how the screen will look at runtime by clicking the Preview button, however there will be no visual progress available at that point.

Attributes

The screen's attributes tab contains generic settings such as its design-time name, window title, banner style and text and various button settings. The details of this tab's contents are explained in the Screen Attributes topic.

 

Style

The Style tab is used to customize the screen's appearance beyond the global project theme.

Override Project Theme

Override the global project theme in order to customize the appearance of the current screen. These settings are the same as the Theme Properties dialog, except they only affect the current screen.

Note: Unchecking this option after changes have been made will restore the default theme settings. Any changes made to these settings will be lost.

Tip: If you are editing a screen and you have the Override Project Theme selected, you can right click on the screen preview and select "Save as Theme..." to save the created theme.

 

Actions

The Actions tab contains the action editor dialog where you can add actions or scripts to each event supported by the screen.

Note: Some events will already contain action script and should not be modified unless you want to customize the default behavior of the screen.
