ContentsVersion Identification
In order for TrueUpdate to know whether or not an update needs to take place, the user's system must be queried for some piece of information that will answer this question. This project wizard page contains several version identification methods that can be used to determine whether or not an update is available and needs to run.
Use a value in the Registry to identify the installed version of the application on the user's system.
Use file information to identify the installed version of the application on the user's system.
Use a value in an INI file to identify the installed version of the application that is installed on the user's system.
Skip this step for now. You will configure your own identification method while creating your update.
Go to the previous project wizard page.
The next project wizard page is based on the version identification method selected. It will be one of the following pages:
Registry Value
File Information
INI File Value
Update Method
Exit the project wizard. Exiting the project wizard means that all information that has been entered in the wizard will be lost and a blank project will be created.
