Project Settings

The Session Variables tab is where you can set general information and defaults about your product such as your Product name, Company name, Application Folder, and so on. These values are automatically assigned to built-in session variables that you can use throughout your installation. You can also create custom session variables that behave in the same manner.

Product Information
 

The Product Information session variables contain information about your product and your company. The following session variables are available in this category:

%ProductName%

The name of your product. For example, "Setup Factory".

%CompanyName%

The name of your company. For example, "Indigo Rose Software".

%ProductVer%

The version of your product.  For example, "9.0.0.0".

%Copyright%

A copyright notice for the product. For example, "Copyright 2019 - Indigo Rose Software".

%CompanyURL%

Your company's website. For example, "http://www.indigorose.com".

%WindowTitle%

The text that will appear on the windows task bar while the installation is running.

%WindowTitleUninstall%

The text that will appear on the windows task bar while the uninstall is running.

Folder Defaults
 

The Folder Defaults session variables contain the default paths used in your installation. The following session variables are available in this category:

%AppFolder%

The default application directory for your installation.  This variable's value may change during the install, for example, through the Select Install Folder screen.

%AppShortcutFolderName%

The default Start Menu application folder for your install. This variable's value may change during the install, for example through the Select Shortcut Folder screen.

Custom
 

A list of all of the currently defined custom session variables that are available in your install.

Add

Create a new custom session variable and assign a value to it.

Remove

Remove the currently selected custom session variable.

Rename

Rename the currently selected custom session variable.
