OverviewPartitions
A partition is a logical division of a hard drive into smaller parts, where each part is seen as a separate "drive" by the operating system. For example, a single 30 GB hard drive could be separated into three 10 GB partitions, which would appear to the operating system as three drives (C:, D: and E:).
