Project Settings

The Project Settings dialog is where you can configure various update settings for your project. The first section allows you to define where you would like to host your server configuration files. TrueUpdate offers a variety of publishing options for these files such as a local/network drive, HTTP site, HTTPS enabled site or FTP site.

The second category of settings allow you to define a series of built-in and custom session variables for your update. These are used as dynamic placeholders for commonly used values in your update such as your product and company name.

The theme section allows you to configure a set of visual attributes that are applied to all of the screens in your update to give them a uniform look and feel. These attributes include the color, banner styles, images, text fonts and many more.

The options category contains some additional options for your update such as its window settings, taskbar visibility and log file generation.

The last category contains settings for controlling what happens if the client needs to be updated, but the user does not have the appropriate write permissions.

Each of these categories can be accessed from the Project program menu.
