Example 1

short_version = File.GetShortName ("C:\\Program Files\\Setup Factory 9\\SUFDesign.exe");

Gets the "8.3" version of the file path "C:\Program Files\Setup Factory 9\SUFDesign.exe" and stores it in the variable "short_version." The result will look similar to "C:\PROGRA~1\SETUPF~1\SUFDES~1.EXE."
