Example 1

short_version = File.GetShortName ("C:\\Program Files\\Visual Patch 3.0\\Visual Patch.exe");

Gets the "8.3" version of the file path "C:\Program Files\Visual Patch 3.0\Visual Patch.exe" and stores it in the variable "short_version." The result will look similar to "C:\PROGRA~1\VISUAL~1.0\VISUAL~1.EXE."
