Moving Objects

There are two ways to move objects: you can drag them by using the mouse, or you can "nudge" them by using the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Using the mouse:

  1. Select the objects that you want to move.

  2. Position the mouse over one of the objects.

The mouse cursor should change into the move cursor ( ).

  3. Drag the objects to the desired position.

Using the keyboard:

  1. Select the objects that you want to move.

  2. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the objects into place, one pixel at a time.

Note that you can hold an arrow key down, and the selected objects will continue to move in that direction until you release the key. Or, you can tap the key repeatedly to "nudge" the objects in that direction.

TIP

Use the mouse to position objects close to where you want them to go, and then use the arrow keys to fine tune the placement more precisely.
