Got a problem and cant figure it out

    Under settings:
Virtual Cd Folder Location is C:\Virtual Cd
In Build output is C:\Virtual Cd

    autorun.apm, autorun.exe, autorun.inf
and Data directory are all there in C:\Virtual CD

    One link on page
    %SrcDrv%\"Folder name"\Setup.exe

    Works fine in preview mode
In Build mode I get an error message

    c:\"Folder name"\Setup.exe
    Specified file not found

I though that "%SrcDrv%\" was supposed to take care of the reference to "C:\Virtual CD" replacing it with the CD rom drive.

for the life of me cannot figure out hwere I am going wrong

In build it is looking for the "Folder Name" in the ROOT of the drive, like it would be on the CD, to have this Build to truely work on the Hardrive, you need to have your Virtual drive on the ROOT of the hard drive which can be messy. Try burning and testing the build I am sure it will work.

    Hi,

%SrcDrv% only points to your Virtual CD-ROM during preview mode, during a full build it will point to the root of the drive your AutoPlay Menu is running on.

As Aaron said, try burning it to a CD-ROM and see what happens.

    mark.

I have found an awesome little program that stops all this nonsense about figuring out where to point the virtual drive etc. it's called Vsubst. What it does is build a virtual drive from a specified folder. This way, everything in the folder is now a root drive. You point the output folder and virtual CD ROM folder to this drive and it behaves the same way a CD would. No more surprizes.

you can get it from my site at http://209.162.200.253/util/vsubst.exe

...which is exactly what the Virtual CD-ROM folder does in preview mode.

Anyway, soon it will be such a breeze, you'll never think of the Virtual CD-ROM folder again...
