I have installed http://desktop.google.com/ and here is my oppinions

Installation is very intuitive as well as settings part. There is very good idea about indexing your computer files in idle times.

It can scan for Outlook email these kind of files:

Outlook Express email
AOL IM Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Text and other
Web history
Include secure pages (HTTPS) in web history

The "Web history" is VERY good as you can find informations on places you've been before.

It is integrated with google.com search engine as if there are any results from your computer the google.com page will show them at first.

As there were privacy concerns, I don't see this a privacy invader, is quite same thing as Windows Search box but MUCH BETTER and the indexing makes that you find results much faster ! (Think at that time when you're searching using MS Search, trough 40Gb of docs and you go take a nap while is searching)


I haven't found bad things by now, anyone ?

I've tried it over the last few days and it appears to be a real WINNER!

I uninstalled if for no other reason than future possible security problems. I'll take the safer route for now.
