    Help from a Chinese Member?

    Hello

When inserting Chinese into AMS I find I cannot just copy/paste from MS Word.

I have to actually insert the Chinese directly into AMS. Is there something with the encoding between AMS and Word?

I haven't tried to copy from NJ Star Word into AMS yet though.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Microsoft Word is probably using a Unicode font. Unicode fonts are not supported in AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0.

    HA! That's it! Thanks Adam

I was going to mention that in my original post but forgot and I was already out the door to work.

I'll have to try from my Chinese Word Processor. That's GB (Chinese) code. I know MS is trying to make that Unicode universal but without much luck, unless you can change the character "coding on the fly".

Problem is I think I also tried to copy/paste directly from the internet at Systran.com which I use quite a bit. That didn't paste either.

Keep trying different things I guess. As far as AMS goes, what coding should I be using then if I can change the MS code in Word?

    Hi again Adam

I opened my Chinese word processor and tried to copy/paste from there and that worked. Except on 1 line with some numbers, the Chinese didn't show up right.

So basically that's it then. I'll use the Chinese word processor. that's set to the Chinese GB charactor code.
