Overview
Use the Jet 4.0 SP8 for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 dependency module with Setup Factory 7.0 to detect and install Microsoft?s Jet 4.0 Database Engine that is used by default in Microsoft Access.
NOTE: Microsoft's Jet Database engine requires Microsoft's Data Access Components (MDAC) also be installed.
Installation Instructions
To make the Jet 4.0 SP8 for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 dependency module available in your Setup Factory 7.0 projects, follow the steps below:
To use your new dependency module, select Resources > Dependencies from the main menu and click the Add button. Jet 4.0 SP8 for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 should now be visible in the list of available modules.
- Close Setup Factory 7.0, if it is running.
- Browse to the folder where Setup Factory 7.0 is installed on your system. By default it is C:\Program Files\Setup Factory 7.0.
- Open the folder called Dependencies.
- Unzip the contents of jet40sp8_9xnt.zip (see bottom of article) into the dependencies folder.
- Create a subfolder of Dependencies and name it jet40sp8_9xnt.
- Download the Jet 4.0 SP8 for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0 installation file (Jet40SP8_9xNT.exe) into the jet40sp8_9xnt subfolder.
- Restart Setup Factory 7.0.
