Location of files ? I have them in two places? How come?

My harddrive seems to be getting cluttered here. I found my projects in two different places and I didn't think I put or saved it there. One is under MY DOCUMENTS and the other is under the name I saved as the folder. How come?

Default path for Windows XP (Home Edition, for example) that has C:\ as it's primary partition is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\currentaccountloggedin\My Documents\AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Projects\project'snamehere

Note: Replace: 'currentaccountloggedin' with the account you are logged in as. Then replace 'project'snamehere' with the name of your project in question.

The Save As... option under the File menu item (as far as I know) saves to the aformentioned location.

Also, you can: File >> Export Project <then choose a location either on the local machine/network or else where>

Did this clear up your concerns or did I miss the 'boat'?

    Sincerely,

When you start a new project, it automatically creates a project folder for you under My Documents\AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Projects.

When you save a project using File > Save As, it recreates that project folder somewhere else (with the path/filename you specify).

Lorne, I just did a Save As... in AMS and it saved such to the path I specified. There was no dialog box to save it to another location. I also tried to 'hard code' a test path, 'C:\testsave' to no avail.

    Please advise.

    Thank you,

Ah, you are correct. I was getting it mixed up with File > Export Project.
