Sample Project : User can Re-Size and save images using slider

OK first thing's first on this one, I have upload this one with irfanview intact with all it's distrubtion files in the Docs folder, this is as permitted by Irfan from http://www.irfanview.com *he is the person who created that .exe in there which resizes the images* all credit goes to him, please visit his site, he is a great guy and irfanview is free. I dropped a $10 spot over there, if you use it, you should too, you can bet Irfan appreciates the support and his software is just excellent, worth way more than $10. If you are re-distributing it, make sure to download the latest version, keep all files and credits 100% intact, and give Irfan verbal credit right up front.

Ok that all being said, this project allows users to resize an image using the slider control and then re-save it any any given size. Bear in mind that I haven't even scratched the surface of what you can do with this setup, this is just a solid core to get you started. I'd love to see any augmentations you guys may add, of course this code is free for you to do anything you like with...

To get an idea of how mind boggling the possibilities are, check out some of the stuff irfanview can do silently with just a tiny parameter or two:

It's amazing. You can basically build yourself a complete image editor just using AMS and Irfanview!!! If you are going to get heavy into it though please consider sending a few dollars to Irfan, he does a great job of keeping irfanview up to date and extremely flexible. He's truly one of the unsung heroes, and a genuinely sweet character.

    Enjoy!

irfanview to send email with image attachment

    Hi Corey,
I checked the irfanview tool and I read about option to send images as email attachment.
the problem that i couldn't find the command to do that, if you open the irfanview and go to Thumbnails from there it is easy to send email with attachment.

Do you know about any command that tells the irfanview to do that?

    David.

Hi. Nope, sorry. You can try using mailto, i.e.:

    mailto:yourname@emailaddress.com?subject=Your Subject&body=Image Attached&attachment="\image.jpg"

The "mailto" method works to varying degrees in different scenarios, depending on the host's email client, etc... Hope that helps.

well... how to use the Mailto?

I understand the Syntax, my only question is how/from where to use the mailto, is it part of the web object ? or something else?

    Thanks,
    David.
