Transitions are for page.jumps only. You specify the transition in Page Properties - the transition is for the outgoing direction, so if you set a dissolve on page 1, and you have a button that jumps to page 2, then you'll see the dissolve when you click the button.

If you are going back the other way, and you also want to see a dissolve transition in that direction, you'll need to put a dissolve on page 2 as well.

Now, I would imagine it would be possible for someone to cook up a plug-in that would enable effects on changes of images on a given page, but I haven't heard of such a plug-in having been invented yet...

Thank you for your reply. What I want is that kind of effect with individual image in each page.Maybe now I can get this effect by dividing my project into as many pages as possible.

Be creative. There are a lot of ways to improve your projects by simply utilizing the tools AMS gives you. If you know only a rudimentary amount of Flash you can easily accomplish some very nice animations with images (cross-fading between images using the Alpha property, for starters).

Short video clips that repeat can also handle slideshow tasks, albeit with mostly poorer quality results and higher storage requirements.

Even an animated GIF inside a properly formatted web object may be the way to go. (provided you are using the professional version of AMS)

Think of AMS as the back-end to your front-end creative work: Your video clips, photography, copywriting, graphics, sounds and layout art skills combined with a powerful scripting engine that can truly integrate those elements together. In many cases, it's powerful enough to do some of those art tasks itself. But in most cases, using AMS for such tasks will waste precious time.

I would consider a slideshow an art task. I encourage you to look at it that way to find the best answers where AMS is concerned.
