I was ******** up reading this, trying to imagine the speed of ascent and just 'sitting around' at such a height.

I gotta have a go at that!!

Me too. This one had me in tears picturing him up there, floating around, eating sandwiches, chatting on his C.B. radio. I very much love the part where he had originally imagined the thing drifting lazily up to about 30 feet and then hovering there for a few hours.

One can only speculate at his friends who untethered him.

On the other hand it really makes you realize that we're much more limited by what people say we can do than reality. I like the underlying message that the "impossible" is not what it seems.

Yep, that's the site from the link above, great material. Truly hilarious some of it. I bought one of their books in a book store last week and that's how I discovered it. These books make great reading when you don't have time for more than a few pages. Overpriced though...
