Demo of Page turning in Flash...

This is one of the coolest effects in flash, and much requested from clients. Thought I would put together a demo and show how it works. Enjoy!!

    Eric,

That is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile coming out of Flash! I would like it to open on its own when I double-click, though. It seems that the page turn is a little finicky to do manually sometimes.

Anyway - is that something you came up with on your own? Great stuff. Care to share the FLA?

I wanted it to be a manual page turn because that is how you turn a real page. I had a button that turned the page, but the effect was not the same. Here you can control the page turn and move the page just like a real page. It is a little finicky sometimes. You have to drop the page when the cursor is on the other side.

I have to give credit to someone else on this one. I added a externally loading .jpg and data. You can change the number of pages and the images without opening flash.

Do I care to share the .fla? Um....probably not. I will share the .swf when I get the external loading working without bugs. Then all you have to do is change the images and edit a text file.

Cool... Actually I'm going to have to go with Eric on this one, this is for sure the coolest Flash thing I've seen in a while. Tricky implementation with lots of possible sticky spots which you've managed to balance very nicely. Excellent work AGRO!

Very nice. I found it to work flawlessly. The trick is to NOT exceed the bounds of the project when turning the page (or so I figure).

Ok, so... how much is this Flash Plugin going to be again? (grin)

You know, Eric, that really is very cool. I didn't bother to check it out at first (I mean "what can beat the insanity test?", I thought), but Adam was going nuts about it. He was right - that really is very impressive. Nice work!

    Fine, then....

Since folks have taken a democratic slant around here and usually share great stuff, I'll just make mention that source code for this precise effect is readily available on the Internet.

After a quick Google search. I've turned up a great link, and anyone who wants it should check it out:
