    New Smilies Added

Added a bunch of new smilies to the forum here. When you go to reply it will give you a "get more" link now under the smilies which will give you a master table of all the smilies and their codes. If anyone has any suggestions for which ones should be deleted or a better shortcut code convention please post it here and I'll tweak as we go. The objective is solely to enhance the fun.

Lorne, if you have a favorite smiley, this is a good time to post it since I'm doing the first of three tri-millennial smiley enhancements this week, next one will be in July of 2087 if all goes as planned.

Gar, I can't figure out a good shortcut scheme, I'm not very well educated in the vernacular of netspeak.

You mean the :foo: tags? I could come up with a list for you if you want.

S'il vous plait!!!! I have your smilies as well we have the ones you can see here. If you get time to cull them make a list of :foo s that would be too swell, too swell. I tried but I'm lost on this one. No rush, whenever you get time, then I'll just add it the way you have it. Thanks Lorne, IOU.

Lorne, the 'jawdrop' smilie is one of the best! Too funny!

    found some even prettier ones

Finally had some time while installing the new MSDN library off a networked DVD drive...so here are the mappings I promised.

First up, a bunch of new smilies...these one's are a bit larger but they are "teh sexay."

See "nice.txt" inside the zip for the mappings.

...and here is the first batch again, renamed as plain.zip.

See plain.txt inside the zip for the mappings. Note that some of these are duplicated in nice.zip, so if we go with the sexay nice.zip smilies, we'll want to either omit the duplicates from here (or vice-versa) or rename the duplicates (e.g. rename : to 2: and to  in one of the sets).

Corey...once you decide which smilies you want to use, I'll redo the mappings for any existing smilies that are left over.
