RAR files

I'm still not exactly sure how advanced you can get with the scripting in AMS 5.. but I need to be able to extract rar files to a specified directory. No fancy stuff.

I found a DLL including source code and all necessary information but I'm not a programmer. So I wouldn't know where to begin :(

If there's anyone that may be able to help, or possibly show me an easier way of going about extracting rar files through AMS, please do. I'm in a pickle here.

Yes, i think support for RAR or ACE files i a good idea. I recently searched the forums for such thread but i didn't found solution to this problem. If someone knows or already implemented a plugin about decompressing rar or ace files please let me know. Even a tip is a highly appreciated

I think there are command line tools which can do that... I'm not 100% certain though but I believe Google might have some stuff like that which might not be *too* hard to find. Hope that helps...

There is (amongst other things) a freeware command line unrar exe for windows.

This may a solution (not a .dll way but a command-line (.exe) option) from the makers of Winrar that you can make use of as well:

After you download it you need to extract the contents (I did to my desktop) and then read the rar.txt file for help.

If you use this let us know how you faired. I have not tried this myself as of yet.

Thanks, I have it tried with UnRAR for DOS Command line freeware DOS32 UnRAR, but this one uses the same command lines.

It's fine, I can extract RAR files.
