Grin Fomatted Text in Text boxes: How?

Is there any way to import formatted text into a scrollable text box?

I am building a presentation in which there is a FAQ (Frequently asked Questions). I need to differentiate between the Q's and A's. As it stands the text just runs on. I would like to add bold or change the font sizes.

    TIA

I don't think you can change the font within the parapraph object. As an alternative, you could write out an html file and display it in the Web Object. Doing that you could use HTML to format it any way you want.

    Thanks, yes I tried that.
The only problem is that the HTML method adds a 2 pixel HTML border around the text. Since I have designed the text box onto a image background with rounded corners, the hard lines don't match the rest of the pages. :(

Just a suggestion; if you happen to know Flash, it could do that as well. Gets kind of tricky with the html coding, but it can be done, complete with scroll, etc..

Yes, if I am correct you are reffering to the window transparency on flash publish. Interesting enough I believe that is an IE feature only, it's not available in NN 4 or 5.

As much as I love developing in Flash, I am avoiding it on this project. Even if I make a Flash 4 or 5 movie, I can expect some end users to be using older laptops without a net connection. I have been looking for some properties that control the HTML window border but no luck so far.

    Thanks

Macromedia offers a distributable version of the flash installer for free which can be included on CD ROMs so that even older computers or offline users can view your flash.

As for transparency, that's not needed, just add a screencap of your background into your flash movie as the background. Flash can load text from text files at runtime BTW, so flash text output can be completely dynamic...

Try using their search feature, shouldn't be too hard to track down. Look for, "Player distribution"...

The Flash player distribution files also install when you install Flash. Take a look at the Directory you installed flash to. It also normally puts a shortcut to the Flash Distribution directory on your start menu.

kpsmith you are absolutely right, it is right there in the installed directory. InstallAXFlash.exe is in the Release folder.
Thanks for that as it saves me alot of headaches finding it on the MM site. After the search the only link explains the name and function of the player. :

When Autoplay 4 1st came out I did get the direct link to request the player and I had to answer a questionaire. They never got back with me. And the whole time its been in my Flash directory. Geeez.

    Thanks allot amigo! Much appreciated.

Actually I just went there and searched in the title bar for "Player Distribution" and there it was, took less than 2 seconds. Anyhow if you want to distribute legally it you need to go to the MM site and read the rules, agree to them, etc. this allows you to grab the latest version installers too...
