Hi. I can't log in there, in general I can only assist with direct links. Although I can't help you upload, you'll have to have some web space somewhere. Hosting accounts are available around the net for free/cheap.

    Go here:

    Hi

I´ve placed a small document file (an RTF one) in the ZIP file.
There I have described all the behaviour I would like to have within my AMS menu.
Please have a look at this document file :-)

    Thank you,

    With best regards,

Hi. I'm sorry but I can't assist here, maybe someone else can though...

Please let me explain. I can help you learn to do things for yourself, that's the goal of our support services. If you are trying to build something and can't figure out a given concept then I can help you by answering any questions related to that specific obstacle. So in other words whenever you have a specific question related to AMS I can help as long as you post that question here.

    Anyhow in your case:

    1. Mouseover effects are created in Flash. I reccomend the built in buttons tutorial in Flash MX if you need help learning to create button states in Flash. This is not AMS related.

    2. To hide or show an object in AMS 4.0 check out the Page actions.

    Hi

Thank you a lot for your assistance Corey.

That´s all what I wanted to know, that the button states have to be created in Flash and that the Page.Hide/Page.Show Functions also apply to Flash animations.

    Thank you,

    with best regards,

Yes you attach actions to flash objects on their "OnFSCommand" event. You can freely attach any action or any combination of actions there.

By using different fscommands in Flash you can use your buttons to do pretty much anything.

Although in this case I would reccomend you don't use Flash at all. Best would be to create images of the buttons and just use them that way, i.e. when you mouse over the button object it shows the logo object, and then hides it again on mouseout... Much easier and then the end user doesn't need Flash. It's an idea anyhow...

    Hi

THX for the advice, actually first i didn't want to use Flash at all. The idea for the final menu was the following:

if a user places the mouse cursor over a button ( so the button changes to the "over" state), an animation in some other part of the menu appears. Lets say something like: a user places the mouse cursor over a button, and a flag animation ( weaving in the wind or so) appears in some place on the menu.
I wanted to achieve this effect with AMS. The problem I had to face was: how can I place a looping animation ( video file or maybe animated gif) to create such kind of an effect?
Now I believe I should have asked you this question from the beginning :(
I am really stuck and I don´t know how to solve this problem. Maybe you can help me out once again?
    The actual task is:
if the mouse cursor is placed over a button an animation (like flag) appears, hiding the "not animated" state of the image which is part of the background. Like hiding the "flag" part of the image, which is the background and showing the animation.

    Thank you again,

Hi. OK very sorry for the delay, we are usually right on this stuff but I had a crazy week. OK so that being said, I've attached an example which does what you asked. It hides the Flash object on Page Show and then the button shows/hides it according to mouse over/leave, check it out and let me know if you still need some pointers...

    Hi

Thank you a lot Corey, the example file you have created shows exactly the needed effect of mine
I believe from that point i can move on and create mz stuff
The only last question of mine: i still would like to know, is it possible to create the following effect>>
    >>if a user places his cursor over a button, an animation ( AVI or animated GIF file) start to play in some other area of the menu. As soon as the cursor is taken away, the animation disappears again. Is it possible to achieve this kind of effect with the Hide/Show functions of AMS? I´ve tried it, the only problem was: as soon as my animation ( it was an AVI file, since i couldn´t figure out wether AMS does support animated GIFs or not :( ) started, there were two black bars on top and at the bottom of my animation, so it was not seamlessly integrated into my background. Imagine a flag image, which is the background, and the animation of the flag which has to appear and has to cover off the background "flag" seamlessly.
Thank you a lot for your assistance

Hi. No .gif support. As for the hiding/unhiding AVI I'm sure you can work it out but I would reccomend using Flash instead since it seems to use less system resources. (Just an opinion) There are many tools out there to convert AVI to Flash...
