    Free Plugin: Media Player Object

    Name: MS Media Player
    Type: Object Plugin
    Author: Indigo Rose Software
    Web: www.indigorose.com
Cost: Free for licensed users of AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Professional Edition

Note: As a specific "thank you" to our customers, Indigo Rose has chosen to provide this object plugin free of charge for licensed users of AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Professional Edition. As such, no official support is provided for it, however comments and questions may be posted in these user forums. We hope you enjoy it!

    Description
The Media Player Object allows you to display any Windows Media Player-compatible file format (including MPEG and WMV files) on the page. It does this by taking advantage of the Windows Media Player ActiveX control that is found on most systems.

Specifically, it embeds this Windows Media Player control directly into your AutoPlay application. This essentially "borrows" Windows Media Player and uses it to display media files in your AutoPlay application.

Note: You can detect whether or not the Media Player ActiveX control is installed at run time using the Dependecies feature of AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 (see Project > Dependencies).

    More Details
Full documentation and examples are available in the Plugin Help File. After installing the plugin, you'll find a complete project template (File > New) that demonstrates the most common features of the plugin object, as shown in the screenshot below.

OK....very nice plug-in with graphx.....thanks for the freebie....so, when I drop this in a project it does looks as boss as the dressed up version.....should I customize a project template to my like and then drop into a master project? Then look for the .exe?

I tried building my own....no luck....will keep trying.....

That version is just something I whipped up for the demo, the look of your project will depend upon what theme you create or choose to host the plug-in. The sky's the limit, you can create anything you like...

This plugin has been updated to v1.0.0.6:
    • Fixed a bug where the Filename parameter in the MediaPlayer.Load action was incorrectly labeled a number in the action wizard
    • F1 help now works if you have Mozilla Firefox installed

You can download the latest version from the download link at the top of this topic.
