Confused about *what* is found and updated

Hi,

I created a setup using Setup Factory. I then created a patch, saying that version 1 was the directory used to create the intitial setup. I copied the directory to a new directory and modified one file. I created a new release pointing to this new directory. The modified file was set to be the key file on both releases.

Created the patch. Ran the patch, *without* running the first setup.exe. VP says that there is no need to update as a current version of the file was found - I don't understand this as I've not installed the application yet!

What is supposed to be happening here?

Put the variable %AppDir% on the first screen of your patch to see where it is located. I have been caught a few times by the program being found in the Recycle Bin!
