Cool illusion

I didn't even believe it until I loaded it into Photoshop and checked the values myself. Very cool. Try painting in the gaps with that same value gray, and watch the illusion disappear.

Heh, Brett did that too. Mark actually refused to believe the whole thing until Brett showed him the two colors (A and B) side by side. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Yeah that's a great one, I love it! Just goes to show you how much of reality we may be misperceiving in our everyday lives, a great metaphor about the human condition.

I can't blame Mark, let's just say I woudn't have bet my paycheque on this one way or the other...

Now I'm thinking it would be too cool to paint this so I might. It will be a lot of work to do it accurately...
