I need to change the name of this file's extension to something other than .dat because our software uses that extension for our data files. Where do I do this? Nothing comes up in this forum when searching for irunin.dat except for one old v5 thread.

Instead of changing the extension of the file would it be a solution for you to change the location of it?

I'm assuming, by your answer, that changing the extension is not an option in v6. It would be a nice feature to be able to rename both filename and extension of each uninstall file if necessary. Relocating them will have to do.

Yes the extension is not an option in version 6.0; hopefully relocating will solve the problem.
