Thread: Suf 5.0 compatible with Windows XP?

We are preparing major release of our software and wonder if there any issues with setups created by Suf 5 to run on Windows XP?

Setups created with SUF50 should work fine on XP for the most part. However, it may not be able to detect the OS properly as it was released before Windows XP was available. You will have to do some testing on your own. All around, SUF60 handles XP much better and is a more robust product in general.

Just make sure you are using the last build of Setup Factory 5.0 which is 5.0.1.6. I believe there was a requirements check bug in an earlier build which was then resolved later.
