Hi, I'm trying to add a line to the system.ini file under win 95/98 , under 386Enh , device=mydriver, but if the system.ini as already a line starting with device I can only append or pre-append, I want to add 3 new line starting with device

    Thanks

    Hi,

What version of Setup Factory are you using? It seems like you are using Setup Factory 5.0, now are you sure that you need to add these entries on separate lines? What happens if you simply append pr prepend your information?

Re: Add a line to system.ini

Hi Mark, I'm using ver.6.0, and don't know what will happend if I install all the driver value to the same line, reason is ,we are using a installer that is doing this for many years but we want to upgrade the software level (pricey) or use a new one ( setup factory ) but at the same time the engineer doesnot want to spend a lots of time to re-validate something that does work before. I found SF easy to use but of course I'm not familliar with it yet. Thanks for your time

Re: Add a line to system.ini

    Hi,

In Setup Factory 6.0 there are no options to append or prepend, simply "Delete Value", "Set Value", and "Delete Section". So it still sounds like you are using Setup Factory 5.0.

I would try downloading the Setup Factory 6.0 demo from: http://www.indigorose.com/products/trial_downloads1.php and see if that provides you with the functionality that you use.
