    Uninstall problems in XP

Hi I am compiling an installer in Windows XP using Setup Factory version 6.0.0.4. Everything works fine, but I have some problems with the uninstaller. All my shortcuts and files uninstall properly, but the Start Menu folder fails to delete itself. The folder is automatically created by the installer program, so I assumed it would be automatically removed by the uninstaller. As this didn’t work I tried to use a Remove Directory command and pointed it to '%SCFolderPath%', but this just throws up an error.

Can anyone give me any tips for removing this folder in the Start Menu folder? Just to reiterate the uninstaller successfully deletes all of the content inside this folder (these are on the Before Uninstalling tab but don't work on the After Uninstalling tab either).

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Tom

    Re: Uninstall problems in XP

I just tried an install on an XP system with some shortcuts that were automatically created and had no problem with any shortcuts being left behind.

Make sure that these are not remnants of a previous test. Manually remove those shortcuts in the Start Menu before you test your install again. If you are still having problems, email your project file to support@indigorose.com and I'll take a look.
