    Copy subfolders

I am copying files from one folder to another. There is one folder that contains several subfolders which I need to copy but I can't get setup factory 5.0 to copy the subfolders. I can use *.* and copy any files but if I add anything else to try and get the subfolders I get a source is invalid error. If any one could give me a hint I would be thankful.

    Re: Copy subfolders

    Hi,

In Setup Factory 5.0 a copy with *.* will not copy the files in subfolders, but in Setup Factory 6.0 the Copy Files action gives you the option to recurse subdirectories.

    mark.

i think first you have to create directories and then start copying files.

        hope this is helpful

I was going to do it that way but I know what folders are supposed to be there but if they added some I wanted to get them all.

i had the same problem, it will fail.

i used a batch file, remember to create a .pif file to be able to close the batch file after it is done copying, I use the xcopy command.

Thanks. I got everything straight now. I used the xcopy in a bat file and it worked just fine.
