Detecting which Windows

Hello personal

I am testing the program version 6.

I will be accomplishing the installation of a program that needs Files=250

How to do that this works in Win 95/98 that uses config.sys for this and Win uses ME PerVmFiles=250 in system.ini in the key 386Enh and WIn NT/2000/XP uses Config.NT

Do I have as detecting which automatically the windows that is being installed is??

Hi,

There are some built-in variable that will tell you which operating system your user is using.

This is from the Help File:

%IsWin95%
%IsWin98%
%IsWinME%
%IsWinNT3%
%IsWinNT4%
%IsWin2000%
%IsWinXP%

These variables have a value of "TRUE" or "FALSE" depending on whether the setup is running on the respective operating system.
