SF is prompting for non-existent disk...

    Hello-

Perhaps someone can help me with this. I thought I had seen a previous discussion on this topic about a year ago but couldn't find it, so I'll go ahead and ask again(?).

I've built a single self-extracting english installation file for our product. This file is downloaded from the Internet. After being downloaded a few of my customers (mostly International customers) have complained that the setup factory is prompting them to insert disk 1 and that SFS4301.tmp is not found. Does any one know the cause and or remedy for this situation?

    Many thanks!

    Hi,

The only time Setup Factory will ask for another disk is when it cannot find all the information in the current file.

This is probably occurring because your users did not download the entire file. I would ask them to download your installation again. You might also ask them for the size of the file that they downloaded.

Thanks Mark- I'll inform my users to download our installer again and ensure they receive the entire file.
