Grin Stopping program to complete uninstall

I have a program that is installed with SF 5.0. Thsi program runs in the background, hidden, so it isonly viewable in the task manager of NT/2000, unless the user invokes certain command switches to see it. Is there a way to make SF 5.0 stop or kill this program during uninstallation so that the uninstallation can complete fully?

So far, during the uninstall routine, SF gives an error at the .exe file that is running and doesn't delete that file or its directory, but it does remove everything else.

Re: Stopping program to complete uninstall

    Hi,

Sorry but there is no way to get Setup Factory to stop a process, but what you could do is write a small executable that will silently do this, and then use Setup Factory to launch this executable.

    mark.
