I tried my latest setup build (made with AutoPlay Media Studio 8.0.4.0) on a Windows 8 system. It says that the operating system is unknown.

Is there a way to change this behavior?

If you mean if there is a way to limit the usage of AMS apps to specific operating systems..., yes, you can check the name of the actual OS using System.GetOSName, then setting a condition that will terminate the app if the name of the Os is different than ones you want.
