Hey Guys - It's funny - We've got many thousands of new people using our products in the past year, but *most* of them don't post on the forums. I can understand that - time is tight, and many of our customers are from large companies. Not a lot of time to participate and help out. The good news is that tons of regulars are still here - some lurking - and there are new folk on the sidelines. The interwebs are changing a bit, but lots of cool stuff still to be done.

    Keep rockin!

Well thats good news i guess, from the lack of activity in the forums it kinda looks like AMS is fading out, that would be bad.... real bad!

Please tell me your not talking about "Internet2", if so, do IR endorse the idea?

Interwebs is just another term for internet.

A mixture of both slang terms: The Interweb and the recent pluralization of the word Internet (Said by Bush during the 2004 debates).
The Interwebs is identical in meaning to the other terms.

I suppose your cards are fairly close to your chest on this, but it would be interesting to see a numbers comparison between installed purchased and free versions. The release of the free version brought on a very noticeable change in the forum as people joined only to see what else they could get for nothing and with no effort.

I have to say the free version was good in some pleases and bad in others, I for one loved the free version I meant I was able to put my ideas in to action, this did take time away from me just helping out like I used to like just making examples or fixing examples, but the free version as let me release a few apps that are still to the date doing very well.

I would like to know also how many paid members that had added or % of free paid, I only like to know this as I would like to see what future AMS as for use all.

I can definitely say my absence has not been for lack of love for AMS and IR. I'd be right back at trying to push AMS to its limits (which have broadened sooooo much, that its getting harder to do) if I had the time I used to have. I keep telling myself that someday it will calm down, but right now, work is manic!

lol yea, i have to agree with that, with the right tools and know-how theres not much AMS can not do anymore, most of my update requests relate directly to the IDE (pleasssssse, keyword folding!!)

Worm, work to live mate, not live to work, Dont let jack become a dull boy, we must find time a play a little, but that being said, i know all to well how work can take over the life, luckly for me tho, iv just a few small contracts to cope with right now, giving me plenty of free time, but when the big contracts start up again......my life is back on hold, lol (i have become to really hate the building trade!!)

Returning OT and talking about this forum, here they are two fresh examples of actual new users:

    The "hacker in a hurry"...

The "unselfish ambitious beginner" (he has not idea how to create a PNG image or fill a ListBox and asks for anybody to spend a lot of time doing it for him, so he will have time to play with AERO functions)...

I have great fears for the future of this forum.
We are slowly invading your planet to teach lazy humans to read the user manual.
But don't be scared: we are here to help.
