I'm still an Eclipse PHP man, hardly ever do PHP projects but if I do and it's not too big I'll just use Notepad++ too.

That looks like a pretty neat editor as well, might give it a try

OK, for all the good things in phpDesigner, there's one huge let down ..... dam keyword folding, unless im missing something, ya cant do folding :(

loving the function and variable navigator tho, what a cool feature

    Hi,

I've been using PhpDesigner for a couple of years.

It has all the handy tools, code shortcuts and handy reference that a lot of people doing coding needs. It has built in CSS, FTP, Local Host and Viewer. You can save code snippets in the environment for common replications.

Unlike AMS, it is not a RAD. You still need to code but eases the process so that you can focus more on the quality of your programming.

Notepads are always handy but too basic. The purpose of PHPdesigner is to quicken programming. Time is money.

Riz, what kind of local server are you using in the development environment?

    I'm using WAMP.

    Hi Azman

I using Xampp for local testing, its pretty robust and offers everything i need, i did try WAMP some years ago, not sure why i went with Xampp

I started looking for a RAD for php and was quick to discover there is no such thing, thats when i found phpDesigner

    Hi Riz,

My guess is, you use XAMPP because the Apache has lua_mod installed and has SQLite on top of MYSQL.
