Tablet PC Compatibiliy

Hi

I am currently using SUF 7 and it works great...

... until I tried installing onto a DLI 8300 rugged tablet device. I double-click on setup icon and get a small tile with an icon and the word "Initialising..." which appears for about a second and then disappears. After this nothing else happens.

The target OS on this device is MS Windows XP, Tablet PC Edition 2005, Version 2002 SP3. The processor is a Geode AMD PCS

My questions are:

1) Is SUF 7 intended to be compatible with this tablet OS and/or the AMD processor ?

2) Are there any known issues that I should know of with version of SUF when used with a tablet ?

3) Id I upgrade to SUF 9 is this compatible with Tablet editions of Windows, and specifically this version of the OS ?

Hello,

Setup Factory appears to incompatible with this platform. It seems that this processor does not support (or emulate correctly) the full instruction set needed to run the product. You could try to use MSI Factory instead, and build a Windows Installer package to deploy your product on this platform.

Thanks for your very quick reply.

I guess I'll have to talk to the tablet manafacturer as I was sold the device as being "100% Windows compatible".
