Huh? Ignoring files does not work. Bad comfort.

    Hello,

I downloaded the upgrade to AutoPlay Media Studio 8.0.2.0
from 7.5.x because of its new feature "ignore files".

First, I was very happy when reading about this feature, but now I am
very, very disappointed about the weird implementation which even
    does not work.

Actually I thought you can ignore files/folders directly in
menu Project -> File Layout... where such feature is expected
and where you have a good overview what to ignore.

No, the feature is found in Edit -> Preferences -> Build
There you have to type a simple list of files to be ignored.

Leaving aside the fact that none of my given explicit file names is ignored in
the final build, typing file names into a text box is not very comfortable.
It reminds me of DOS times.

    Dear developers,

Please make that ignore-files-feature work and improve the way of file selection,
maybe by adding another button in the File Layout dialog [Ignore].

Just imagine, that someone could have two different folders, both containing
a file (e.g. a PDF) with the same name, but only one of both should be
ignored. In that case your current implementation would just ignore both.

    Hello,

It appears that you are trying to use this feature for something it was not designed for. The purpose of the "Files to ignore" field is to specify certain files and extensions that are deployed by third party version control tools, for example, so those files are not included in the final build of your application. If a developer uses version control, he wouldn't want to have to specify the same set of files and extensions every time he starts a new project. A setting for all projects developed in AutoPlay Media Studio makes much more sense, hence the inclusion in the Preferences dialog instead of a project specific setting.

Additionally, as far as I can see, the feature works as intended. Setting "*.lmd|*.apo", for example, excludes plugins from the published hard drive folder or exported project.

I was hoping my issue had been solved:
    http://www.indigorose.com/forums/thr...405#post153405)

I use the version control tool SubVersion, which creates folders named .svn containing files and further folders.
But the containing file names have no extension, e.g. "entries", "all-wcprops", ...

These files (and for sure those folders) must not be included in the final build,
but they are included, since I cannot "mute" them in the File Layout of the project.

So, I can neither specify files nor folders to ignore in that preference settings.
I tried it. It does not work.

Then I tried to ignore two PDF files to test this feature.
It didn't work either. Only one PDF could be ignored in that list at the same time.
It seems that the list is processed wrong.
