Thanks reteset ... finally we have a simple solution for anigif-support. Gracious my friend!
    PS.
Having said that though, I remember reading somewhere that the latest build of AMS (ie. v7.5.1008.0) will successfully recognise and show animated-gifs
via the video-object ... and supposedly displays them seamlessly if you turn off the control-buttons and slider.

    Can anyone confirm this?
(I'm using v7.5.1006.0 myself, and know that with this slightly older version, the media-object won't recognise gifs at all.)

    PPS.
reteset, you're website seems to be down at the moment?

I have the latest, and I tried to use the attached gif; it didn't work; can't say if other animated gifs will...

AMS did auto-size the object to the right size, it just didn't play (or show) the gif.

Hmmm ... interesting that the video-object recognises the gif ,though.
In v7.5.1006.0, it won't even allow you to grab the image. I'm curious to know if anyone with the latest version has been able to verify this rumour.

Actually sim, I was referring to trying to load animated-gifs via the video-object ... not whether reteset's plugin works. You see, it's been a long-running issue, that AMS has not been able to support ani-gifs. I had read somewhere (just a rumour, mind you) , that it was possible to successfully display them via the video-object in v7.5.1008.0 of AMS. I'm just trying to see if anyone has managed to duplicate this feat, so we know if there's any substance to the rumour.

Or have I misunderstood you? Did you actually, successfully load your ani-gif into a video-object?
