    Power Point and WMV

I have read all of the posts regarding Power Point program problems and have downloaded the PDF directions on how to play a power point in Autorun Max and I am still having problems and can't figure it out on my own. Help me please...LOL

First I followed the PDF directions, adding the power point viewer program and then adding the actual presentation file. I keep getting a warning that says "The file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel. By following the downloadable PDF, didn't I do that already?

I have also tried turning the Power Point program into a WMV file and adding it to my AutoRun Max presentation by using "play multimedia" and directing it to the file...and again I get the same error..."The file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action. Create an assocition in the folder options control panel."

I should mention that in both cases when you click "OK" in the warning box, the box goes away and the action plays.

I have also added the WMV file to the presentation as a new video object and it works fine but I need the presentation to play full screen, not just in a small window.

I have burned the AutoRun Max program to CD and tried it on 2-other computers just to make sure it wasn't the laptop I was using, but still get the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Yes the power point viewer was installed .

i have made wmv files and have inserted them into my program and simple used the "open file" action command (on the button) and they open and play flawlessly in full screen window media player without any warnings.

I think this is a known Microsoft issue, the PowerPoint player is not associated with PowerPoint files by default. So, that is a problem if your AMS project is to run on other people's machines, since they may have PowerPoint itself. It might be possible to give the files an extension of your own and then associate that with the player, but your AMS would need to change the registry of every PC on which it is to run........
