MIDI Communication

I am working on a project that I need to ba able to send a MIDI string to Windows either an external device like a USB MIDI box or to an internal matrix like MIDI-Yoke. Simple as a text box to type the midi string in and a send button to send the string to the device.

I dont wheather I am asking for a Driver or a Plug-In. We are fairly wippy with AutoPlay and can do all the surrounding code but I dont know how to get this MIDI string out to windows to deal with it.

I would be greatful for any input or help.

I am an absolute non-expert in this area but I think your answer could be found in the lua comms plugin, as essentially you need your app to "speak" to a device.
