SUF 7 compatible with Windows 7?

I am wanting to know if SUF 7 is compatible with Windows 7?

Is it necessary to upgrade to SUF 8 just for Windows 7 compatibility?

    Thanks

I think this is going to depend on your definition of "compatible".

Star Setup Factory and Windows 7

I would like to hear something from Indigo Rose directly on this.

In the interim...I installed the Windoze 7 beta and tested one of our installers. The software components seem to install correctly but neither the desktop icon or the shortcuts in the Programs menu work (they are not clickable)

    Anyone else seeing this?

You cannot click on them, or they don't do anything when you click on them?

that is correct, nothing happens when I click on them.

    and

there is no os-specific logic in the scripts.

    thanks for your interest.

Curious -- can you post a small example to replicate here?

    Wink It works for me!

My installer works perfectly with Windows 7. I don't do a whole lot of fancy stuff, but it works and I haven't had any issues on Win7.

(I know this reply is a bit late, but I didn't see anyone else saying yea/nea. I thought it would be good to have an answer in here of some kind for reference.)
