Thread: Ams 7.5

Hi together,

is it generally possible to run the packages created with AMS7.5 under winpe x64?? In winpe x64 there is no 32bit subsystem present, so it's not clear for me what will happen with my autorun.exe?!
Is it supported? What steps are needed for success? I've tried some different easy autorun.exe, I've created with the trial version of AMS7.5 and they cannot start and gives me errors that the subsystem is not present

I don't believe winpe was intended to be used as a pure application system, but as a Windows Preinstallation Environment system as the name implies. Contact IR directly as only they would know for sure if AMS would be supported on it - I highly doubt it.

you are right, winpe is only used as windows preinstallation environment for deployment tasks. That's the point. I want to create some launcher or autorun to start some installation tasks with the easy to use lua engine within AMS. At this point I noticed the message when running inside winpe_x64, "missing 32bit subsystem" and I give up. It wont run...

The workarounds in the forum here to disable WOW64 Redirection won't work also!! I don't know what I can do to build a native amd64 customized setup task for my autorun or launcher.

The same will perfectly run on winpe 32bit, I checked this out!!!

Did IR guys ever respond to this thread or did you ever figure this out?
