Do you guys know if it's possible to use wsock32.dll to create a connection across a WAN or the GAN. The messenger.dll by sside does great for LANs but I need a bit more range. Any ideas?

I found LuaSocket to assist me in this endeavor but it is a mystery to me. I found a Web Server example but it doesn't quite tell me what I need to know. Anyone know if there is a plugin make with this LuaSocket code?
If not then this is one for my wishlist all you plugins makers. I'm sure you could ask a few pretty pennies for something like this.
