Pan Map Image: Flash or AMS?

    Dear All
Need to pan a large map image by dragging the mouse over the map area (i.e. WITHOUT pressing left/right/up/down buttons).

Yes I know I can embed a movie or flash file BUT I also need some basic interaction with the map (i.e. show photos at specific points) AND have objects appear at timed periods.

Obviously this is a classic project for Flash but I would like to know if it can be done easily in AMS. Your thoughts (..and help ) are appreciated.

AFAIK, there is no direct way in AMS (runtime) to get mouse position. You would need to use a dll for that and based on the relative position of the mouse and the window, get these coordinates.
Then you would move the image based on that, using anothe object (image for example) to mask your large image.
As you said, it is a CLASSIC project for Flash. And you can add ANY interaction you want in Flash...
